Description by Flatma:

This project presents desk plans for a long, minimalist workstation with two open-shelf pedestals and a panel leg. The linear desktop offers ample knee space between supports, making it suitable for a home office, shared study, or studio bench. Clean, melamine-faced surfaces and protected edges create a practical, easy‑care worktop while keeping the look refined. The desk blueprints focus on laminated particle board construction and can be scaled to different wall lengths without changing the overall concept of storage plus generous legroom.

Construction Features

- Worktop: laminated particle board, 0.98 in (25 mm). - Vertical elements (shelves and end panel): laminated particle board, 0.63 in (16 mm). - Sheet size used for nesting: 72.05 x 108.27 in (1830 x 2750 mm) for each board type; one sheet per thickness is planned. - Edge banding on all visible sides: 0.75 in (19 mm) and 1.38 in (35 mm) widths. - Recommended ergonomic height target: about 29–30 in (740–760 mm). Shelf spacing can be set in the 9–12 in (230–305 mm) range depending on storage needs. - Plans include a cut list, drilling scheme, and assembly order for accurate joinery using standard woodworking practices.

Materials and Hardware

- Boards: 1 sheet laminated particle board 0.63 in (16 mm) and 1 sheet 0.98 in (25 mm), light neutral color. - Edge banding to match finish; adhesive suitable for melamine. - Fasteners and fittings (select per preference): wood screws, dowels, or cam bolts; shelf pins; right‑angle brackets for wall anchoring; leveling feet; cable grommets. Pre‑drilling is recommended to prevent chip-out on particle board.

Customization Options

- Length, depth, and height can be adjusted to fit room dimensions or equipment. - Option to add drawers, doors, or a modesty panel; integrate a rear stretcher or concealed cable tray. - Materials may be substituted with MDF, plywood, or hardwood veneer while keeping the same thicknesses: 0.63 in (16 mm) and 0.98 in (25 mm). - After detailed review, the blueprints are available for download and can be adapted to individual requirements.
